A crop can only use what its roots can reach. When roots stay thin or shallow, fertiliser is wasted and plants feel every dry spell first.

Soil often holds plenty of phosphorus, potash and zinc, but in forms roots cannot take up. Adding more fertiliser on top does not fix that.

Fruit size, weight and finish are decided late in the crop, by potash, calcium and how evenly the bunch or fruit sets.

Most crop disease is easier to prevent than to cure. Once rot is in the stem or virus is in the plant, the damage is already done.

Pests that live in the soil, such as white grub and nematodes, are out of reach of a spray. Pests on the plant, such as whitefly and aphids, need coverage.

Crops have stages, and each stage has a different demand: shoot emergence, stem girth, flowering, fruiting. A single tonic rarely suits all of them.

FAQ
No. Manure and compost feed the soil with organic matter. A biofertilizer is a living culture, such as Rhizobium, Azotobacter or phosphate-solubilizing bacteria, that helps the crop take up nutrients that are already in or around the soil. They do different jobs and are often used together.
Start from the problem you can see (weak roots, pests, poor fruit size) or from your crop, and open the page. Every product lists the method, the quantity per acre or per litre, and the stage to apply it. If you are still unsure, send your crop, its stage and a photo on WhatsApp.
Be careful with the living cultures. As a general rule, do not mix biofertilizers and biofungicides with chemical fungicides or bactericides in the same tank, and apply them separately. Ask us before mixing a specific product.
Keep them cool, dry and out of direct sun, and use them before the date on the pack. Cultures lose strength in heat, so do not leave packs in a vehicle or on the field edge.
